Welcome! I am Sören Appenzeller, I manage transformations of international IT Organizations. I help companies become more effective and efficient by helping them focus on their core competencies.
My life's dedication is the restructuring and optimization of production, distribution and services networks of international companies, making them more successfull in todays globalized markets. I'm especially interested in new and innovative approaches to Value Chain Analysis & Optimization in connection with Outsourcing (and Offshoring in particular).
I am currently working for SAP, the leading provider of IT Business Solutions worldwide. As member of the Management Office of the CIO, I focus on the management of strategical and tactical Business Transformation Programs of SAP's global IT organization. This includes definition of IT core comptencies, design of IT operation models, setup of multi-vendor startegies for external IT service providers, as well as out-tasking, out-sourcing and off-shoring of IT services to best cost countries.
When not working on modern Value Chain concepts, I dedicate my time to my wife and 3 children, as well as organize dinner event parties with changing themes and settings. To facilitate this hobby of mine, I founded the Triple
John Association.
After living and working in Europe, Asia and the Americas (one of the reasons I speak German, English, Chinese /Mandarin, Japanese and French), I decided to settle down in the picturesque city of Heidelberg in Germany. That's where I live right now.
If you feel that I can be of any assitance to you, please feel free to drop me an E-Mail.
Sincerely,
Sören Appenzeller
